A. Preparation to upgrade firmware:
1. Unzip the zip-archive attached to this service information.
2. Start the CD Burning software and create a new CD project (data disc) with the following settings:
File system: ISO9660
Format: MODE 2: CDROM XA
Recording mode: SINGLE SESSION (TRACK-AT-ONCE), FINALIZED CD
3. Place the content of the zip-archive (1 file) into the root directory of the new CD project.
4. Burn the data onto a blank CDR

Note: ISO9660 is mandatory, UDF discs are not supported !
The final CDROM must not contain any other data except the file from the zip-archive.


B. Procedure to apply the firmware upgrade:
1. Power up the set.
2. Press <9> <8> <7> <6> buttons on the remote control.
The TV OSD shows: "Version Up Mode" and the tray opens automatically.
3. Insert the prepared Upgrade CDROM and close the tray.
The TV screen will display:
READING -> ERASE -> PROGRAMMING -> COMPLETED
The whole process takes less than 5 minutes
Note: Do not press any buttons or interrupt the mains supply during the
upgrading process, otherwise the set may become defective.
4. Remove the Upgrade CDROM when the tray opens automatically.
5. Unplug & replug the mains cable
6. Press buttons and the tray will close automatically.

C. How to read out the firmware version to confirm upgrading & clear the Eeprom
1. Press <1> <2> <3> <4> buttons on the Remote Control
2. The OSD will display the firmware version & region code.
3. Press button to clear the content in the Eeprom
4. Press button to exit.
