Subject IRIS
No Operation in DVD Mode [REVISION] C11A
SYMPTOM
No operation in the DVD mode. In some cases "C-81" appears on the display.
CAUSE
Q002 on the DVD board may be defective.
SOLUTION
Apply the following changes on the DVD Board.
Remove Q002 "2SA1213Y" (8-729-101-07).
Replace R011 "Chip 1k" (1-218-953-11) with "Chip 470 Ohm" (1-218-949-11).
Solder the lead wires of the new part "Housing (Q002) Assy" (X-4954-896-1) to the locations shown. Be
careful not to touch any other pattern.

Screw the part "Housing (Q002) Assy" to the Amp Board as indicated. Be careful not to touch any part on the
DVD Board or the Power Board.
