Subject: Uneven Brightness From Left Side To Right Date: May 2, 2000
Side, Noticeable Bar Near Center Of Screen
Symptom:
(1320) The brightness may not be uniform across the screen. The area where the different
brightness levels meet may appear as a faint vertical bar just right of the center of the
screen.
Solution: Dress all audio/video cables as straight back as possible from the rear of the set
where they connect to the input jacks. Avoid dressing the cables along the rear edge
of the cabinet between the input jacks and the left side of the cabinet (as viewed from
the front).
Also, replace the U-board with a new one specifically designed to help reduce the
severity of the symptom. The U-board is the small board that contains most of the
input jacks; it connects to the A-board.
