SERVICE INFORMATION
The CS-2014 is built on a new non-clamshell type design. This new space saving design
enables the machine body to be more durable and compact. The CS-2014 is capable of
producing 14 Letter size copies per minute and has one of the shortest paper paths in its
class. This innovative design not only creates a fast 5.8 second First Copy Out Time (FCOT)
but is also a key factor in eliminating paper misfeeds. Finally, this model incorporates the latest
technology utilizing a humidity / temperature sensor that monitors and controls inputs for toner
and developer control, exposure, transfer output, and drum surface potential correction.
Listed below and on the following pages is information regarding frequently requested service
and maintenance issues. To get started with the CS-2014, each Dealer must place their first
machine order together with the Video Training Kit through your Regional Office.

ADDITIONAL SETUP PROCEDURES
Please follow these additional steps during setup. Currently they are not outlined in the
installation section of the Service Manual. A handout will be included in the packaging with the
machine.
1. Remove the Retaining Tape from the Top Cover.
2. Remove the Retainer Tape securing the Fixing Unit Door.
3. Open and Close the conveying cover.
4. Open the Front Cover and remove the Developing Unit Spacer.
