Subject: Correction of the Firmware.


Symptom: 1) When "AAC 5.1ch" signal plays back, "VFD" of the amplifier
indicates "AAC 7.1ch". However, the output signal is 2ch.
2) When Blu-ray Disc that recoded AAC signal plays back, it does not output "Bit
stream signal" on HDMI.
3) When unit plays BD Disc "Legend of Zorro (Sony pictures)", "MENU" picture
is not displayed properly.
(1) Does not display "MENU" picture.
(2) Does not close "MENU" picture or close it.


Solution: The malfunctions occurs because of bugs in the FE and BE
firmware.
MODIFICATION: Record each program file onto a blank CD-R separately, and
update the unit upon repair of the unit.

Note: Upon recording the Disc:
a) When recording the supplied file on the blank CD-R, the format shall be
"ISO9660" and the session shall be "CLOSE".

b) When recording the supplied file on the disc, please use the lowest recording
speed that is available on your PC. If the file is recorded at a higher speed, the
rewriting operation may fail due to improperly recorded data on the disc.

1) Rewriting procedures of the FE/BE ROMs.
(1) Turn the Power Supply of the unit on. Press the "OPEN/CLOSE" button and
open the Disc Tray.
(2) Put the recorded CD-R on the Disc Tray and press the buttons on the remote
control in the order of "9", "8", "7", "6" and "POP UP MENU/MENU".
(3) The Disc Tray closes, the FL Display indicates "F/W-UP" and the update of
the firmware starts automatically.
(4) After indicating the "Ver: 1013" on the FL Display, the Disc Tray opens
automatically.
(5) Take out the Disc from the Disc Tray.
(6) Do not turn off the Power Supply of the unit!
(7) The FL Display indicates from "0%" to "100%".
(8) The FL Display indicates "100%", and then indicates "9C1C" of checksum.
(9) The new firmware is installed completely.
(10) Press the "OPEN/CLOSE" button and close the Disc Tray.
(11) Pull out AC cable from the AC Strip.

2) Confirmation of the version:
(1) Press the "OPEN/CLOSE" button and close the Disc Tray.
(2) Please confirm! "NO DISC" on the FL Display.
(3) Press the buttons on the remote control in the order of "1", "2", "3", "4" and
"DISPLAY".
(4) The following firmware versions appear on the GUI.

Cautions during the rewriting operation:
1) Please do not turn off the Power of the unit during the rewriting operation.
2) If the Display isn't turning into "9C1C" during the rewriting operation, wait
longer than 10 minutes after closing the Disc Tray. Then, turn off the Power of
the unit and start the rewriting operation from the beginning again.

The above modification has been applied to the production models beginning
from the following serial numbers. (Last 5-digits)
