Subject: Correction of the Firmware.
Countermeasure is applicable only upon claim from the customer.

Symptom: 1) When the picture with an early movement recorded in "Blu-ray
Disc" by "1080P/24" is output by the resolution of HDMI "1080P/24", the picture
might not be smoothly reproduced. (About once at a few minutes.)
2) When the scene with an early movement like "CH12" of specific DVD disc
(DON QUIXOTE) is reproduced, the picture might not be smoothly reproduced.
(About 2 and about 3 times at half hour.)
3) It is likely to fail in the HDMI authentication if the reproduction is stopped when
the Blu-ray Disc and the DVD disc have been reproduced by the resolution of
"1080i".

Solution: The firmware has been corrected so that no malfunction occurs.
MODIFICATION: Record each program file on your PC, and update the unit
upon repair of the unit.
* Program Files to be supplied:



Version after the update: 080311

1) Installation of the "IP FIRMWARE (Updater tool)".
(1) Download "Updater tool" to PC from SDI, and unpack it.
(2) Click "Updater.reg", and PC will install it automatically.

2) Preparing the updating of the IP firmware of the unit.
(3) Please connect the unit to a TV (Display) with "Composite video".

(4) Please connect the unit to PC with RS-232C straight cable.
(5) Turn on the power of the unit.
(6) Press the "OPEN/CLOSE" button and remove any Discs.
(7) Press the "OPEN/CLOSE" button and close the Tray.
(8) Press the buttons on the remote controller in the order of "2", "5", "8", "0" and
"CLEAR".
(9) Display indicates the following picture.




(10) Press the "6" button on the remote controller.

(11) Press the "2" button on the remote controller. Caution! : Picture does not
output from HDMI output.




3) Update the IP firmware.
(12) Click "Updater.exe" on PC, and start the Updater firmware.
(13) Select the "UART" of "Target" selection, and press "Search" button.

(14) When the unit confirms the updater, "BOOT-SOI (COM : 1)" indicates the
following picture.

(15) Select "BOOT-SOI (COM : 1)" and press "Browse" button.
(16) Select the folder of "IP FIRMWARE", and press the "Update Firmware"
button.




(17) Wait approx. 7 minute until update the IP firmware completely.

(18) Update procedure indicator will be going to "100%", and finish the updating.




(19) Turn off the power of the unit, and pull out RS-232C cable.

3) Confirmation of the version:
(1) Please connect the unit to TV (Display) with "HDMI".
(2) Turn on the power of the unit.
(3) Press the "OPEN/CLOSE" button and remove any Discs.
(4) Press the "OPEN/CLOSE" button and close the Tray. The unit will start
initializing IP ROM automatically. (No picture indication.)
(5) Please wait 3 minutes and more!
(6) Turn off the power of the unit.
(7) Turn on the power of the unit again.
(8) Please confirm a picture on HDMI.
(9) Press the buttons on the remote controller in the order of "1", "2", "3", "4" and
"DISPLAY".
(10) The following "IP Scaler Versions" appears on the GUI.

Cautions during the updating and initializing IP ROM:
1) Please do not turn off the Power of the unit during the rewriting operation.
2) If you do not watch a picture on HDMI, please try to initialize it again from item
2)-(4).
