Countermeasure is applicable only upon claim from the customer.

Subject: No sound output.


Symptom: There is a possibility that the Test point pattern of the CX251
connector on 1U-3788 printing board comes in contact with Mechanism bracket.


Solution: When you have a problem report from the customer or you repair
the SACD Mechanism, please attach Insulation Tape to the pattern side of the
CX251 connector on 1U-3788 printing board.

MODIFICATION: Method of attaching the Insulation Tape
1) Remove 4-screws and move the 1U-3788 printing board.

Caution! : Do not remove the FFC cable for Optical Pickup from connector base!

2) Attach the Insulation Tape (size: width 10mm x length 40mm) to the pattern
side of the CX251 connector on 1U-3788 printing board.




3) Attach 1U-3788 printing board and fix 4-screws.
4) Finish.

3) Size: width 10mm x length 40mm
4) Material: See page 3 of the "3M_Electrical_Tapes.pdf" supplement file.

Serial Number Range:
We will apply the above modification to the production models beginning from the
following serial numbers. (Last 5-digits)
