Model: DCM-390, DCM-290, and DCM-27


Subject: Correction of the Firmware and the voltage of power supply.


Symptom: Insert Disc (any Disc), mechanical noise is heard after a short time
in Playback mode. This is because the Clamper Mechanism doesn't move to the
proper position and the Mechanism does not work smoothly.


Solution: The Microprocessors firmware has been improved. Resistor values
changed and a Zener Diode has been added to the power supply for loading
motor. See the following for details.

6. MODIFICATION:
6-1. Replace the Resistors and add Diodes on SERVO P.W.B UNIT.
1) Replace the R133, 134 Chip Resistors to 20 k ohms.
2) Add the 4.7 Volts Zener Diode MTZJ4.7B to ZD103 in parallel on the FOIL
side of SERVO P.W.B UNIT.
