The unit does not detect a CD in the disc tray.
Solution:
Replace I/R LED D04 (8-719-058-76) and add the following transistor in circuit to the CD Decoder Board as outlined below.

Check the voltage at IC02 pin 9 on the CD Decoder Board (1/2). With a disc inserted the voltage should be less than 1.2V. When no disc is inserted the voltage should be 3.5V. If these voltages are not within the operating range, replace phototransistor PH01(8-729-036-35).
