My name is uninportant, I undertook these schematics because most likely like a lot of other poeple who own the creative soundworks (megaworks) 510d home theatre speakers system eventually they are going to suffer breakdowns. I contacted creative about obtaining parts and was told quite politly to go fuck my self. Well having spent quite a lot of money over the years with creative! well lets just say that they will not be getting anymore of my costum. The actual ic1 UC3842D which i obtained from http://www.bluestar-online.com who was brilliant to deal with, was covered with some black epoxy and it was an pain staking delicate job to get of without damaging the board. The module board is made out of what looks like ceramic. I have redesigned a new board which I will soon make out of normal double sided pcb. It is roughly about 25% bigger than original due to having to put new smd resistors on it. The originals where infact painted on. Anyway hope this info may be helpfull to somebody with broken creative 510d speakers system. The pcb design is included under name HC1011PCB.PDF regards ste
